Why is electrostatic disinfecting better than wiping?

Electrostatic spray coating isn’t new technology. It’s been around since the 1940s, where it was understood to be the best way to rapidly apply an even coat of liquid to almost all surfaces. What is an electrostatic sprayer, and how does it work?

Electrostatic sprayers look like your typical liquid spray dispensers. They are available in a variety of styles from backpack or handheld battery-operated sprayers to large roller carts capable of coating tens of thousands of square feet per hour.

Regardless of design, all electrostatic sprayers work the same: they charge the liquid particles they dispense as they go through the nozzle. Those charged particles repel one another and cling to surfaces, forming an even coating that is effective and efficiently applied.
