How Should Your Business Prepare For Electrostatic Spray Service?

Sep 7, 2020

Hiring a local electrostatic disinfecting service is a wise choice to keep your workplace or business as safe as possible during the Covid-19 pandemic – and beyond. While our service is quick and effective, it doesn’t completely let you off the hook (sorry!). There are some things that you should do to prepare for our visit to ensure maximum benefit from electrostatic spray service. Working together, we can leave your workspace clean and disinfected quickly each and every time.

Why Do I Need To Prepare?

Our service is specific, we use an electrostatic spray disinfection system to apply a mist to all surfaces that kills bacteria and viruses. Our solution is approved to kill the virus that causes Covid-19. However, we are not a janitorial service – the spray clings to what is clean and unobstructed. To ensure all surfaces in your office get blanketed in the mist, you will still need to implement daily and weekly cleaning. By preparing your space for our visit, you make our time there more efficient. The quality of the disinfection depends directly on how easily the mist can reach those surfaces you want to protect.

Implement Staff Procedures

Involve your staff in preparation by implementing a set of procedures to prepare for our service day. If everyone prepares their own area, it will be a quick task. Consider assigning communal space preparation on a rotating basis. For example, break rooms, kitchens, and copy/mail rooms will also need to be tidied up before our arrival. Here are some ways we suggest to have your staff prep their workstations:

  • Remove items like papers, clothing, and excess clutter from desk surfaces. You can move these things into drawers temporarily to give us more access to the desk surface, chair, and frequently used equipment.
  • Clear the floor as much as possible around your workstation.
  • Put away decorations/photos into drawers or cabinets.

For communal spaces, we suggest:

  • Picking up any food or food containers and putting it either in the refrigerator or cabinets.
  • Move any dishware into cabinets and drawers.
  • Empty the sink.
  • Temporarily store small appliances like toasters or coffee pots in cabinets.

Print off checklists for employees to use as they tidy their assigned areas each time, and send email reminders leading up to a service day. Electrostatic spray service for disinfecting is one of the best ways to keep your workplace as safe as possible, but it can be derailed by excess clutter. We need your help to make sure our visits are as efficient and effective as possible.
