Electrostatic Disinfecting Service For Gyms

Sep 2, 2020

Gyms and fitness centers have re-opened on a limited capacity basis in Texas, as well as other states around the US. Maintaining physical activity is one of the best ways to stay healthy, but how can these communal areas reduce the spread of viruses like the one that causes Covid-19? Many of these facilities have turned to electrostatic disinfecting service as a way to keep their members and staff healthy.

Procedures For Gyms During Covid-19

According to the CDC, gyms should follow specific guidelines to reduce the spread of illnesses, especially Covid-19 which is still a threat. Due to the nature of this type of communal space and equipment, gyms can be a hotbed for risk. But, properly managed, you can make your facility as safe as possible for both members and staff. The CDC recommends these basic procedures for all people in the facility:

  • Frequent handwashing
  • The use of hand sanitizer when it is not possible to wash your hands
  • Avoiding touching your face
  • Bring personal items like water bottles, towels, etc and avoid sharing
  • Wipe down equipment after use with disinfecting wipes or solution
  • Maintain at least 6ft of space between yourself and other members/staff where possible
  • Use a mask when you cannot maintain 6 ft of personal space
  • Health checks like body temperature and symptom screening

In addition, facilities should make some changes to the layout of equipment to allow for distancing. Where applicable, install barriers like desk shields in areas where members are checking in or otherwise likely to be in close contact with staff. It’s important that owners and staff take a proactive approach to cleanliness and disinfection. Do not rely on members only to disinfect equipment after use. To streamline efforts, the CDC recommends appointing one person to act as the on-site coordinator. This person will be responsible for implementing plans and handling any concerns. How Beneficial Is Electrostatic Disinfecting Service For Gyms?

Spray disinfecting service is the perfect choice for a gym facility. Machines and equipment are tedious to hand wipe, and it is easy to miss areas. Patrons should be cleaning throughout the day with disinfectant wipes or a solution with paper towels, however that does not replace facility-wide disinfecting. At Virus Assassins, we are experts in efficiency. Our service is quick and effective, making it a convenient choice for any business. Gyms specifically really benefit from spray service because of the comprehensive coverage of the fine mist. It blankets all of those surfaces that are hard to reach – like the nooks and crannies of exercise equipment. It is safe for gym floors, mats, equipment, and weights. Plus, we can complete your building’s service in less than half the time of traditional wiping methods. Regular service from our team will provide you and your members with extra peace of mind. If you have any questions about how electrostatic disinfecting service can work for your gym or fitness facility, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
